Your bed is the last place you want to see any type of infestation. Especially if it involves bed bugs, that’s where our Bed Bug Removal services come in. If you suspect you have them, call us immediately because they are hard to detect and even harder to kill. Biotech Pest Management will conduct a thorough, free examination of your home, furniture and bedding to determine the extent of the problem, and recommend the best course of action.

Bed Bug Treatments

Our proven thermal remediation treatment is simple, fast, and non-toxic. We’ll move furniture, open up interior doors, and stand up couch cushions and mattresses to allow for maximum air movement. Then, we’ll heat your house up to 135 degrees F and no less than 118 degrees F, killing all of the bedbugs and their eggs. Not only is our solution safer for your home than pesticides, but it’s also more effective. Over time, bedbugs can become resistant to chemical treatments — but never heat.

What Are Bed Bugs?

Bed bugs are small wingless insects that feed solely upon the blood of warm-blooded animals preferably humans. Their color ranges from nearly white (just after molting) or a light tan to a reddish brown. The host’s blood may appear as a dark red or black mass within the bug’s body. Because they never develop wings, bed bugs cannot fly. When disturbed, bed bugs actively seek shelter in dark cracks and crevices.
How Do Bed Bugs Invade A Home?

Because bed bugs readily hide in small crevices, they may accompany luggage, furniture, clothing, pillows, boxes, and other such objects when these are moved between apartments, homes and hotels. Used furniture, particularly bed frames and mattresses, are of greatest risk of harboring bed bugs and their eggs. Thus, one should carefully consider the history of any used furniture, particularly found on the side of the street. Because they readily survive for many months without feeding, bed bugs may already be present in apparently ‘vacant’ and ‘clean’ dwellings.
How Can You Tell If The Residence Is Infested?

Bed bugs infest only a small portion of residences, but they should be suspected if residents complain of bites that occurred while sleeping. The bedroom and other sleeping areas should be carefully examined for bed bugs and signs of bed bug activity. Folds and creases in the bed linens, and seams and tufts of mattresses and box springs may harbor bed bugs or their eggs.
What Should You Do If You Find Bed Bugs?

Because several different kinds of insects resemble bed bugs, specimens should be carefully identified by professional exterminators such as Biotech Pest Management. Once their identity is confirmed, a careful plan should be devised to eliminate the bed bugs in a manner that promotes success while limiting unnecessary costs and exposure to insecticides. Contact us and we will devise a plan to assist you in eliminating your bed bug problem!
